Meet Our Founder & Expert Chef

From Humble Beginnings to Sweet Success

My culinary story began in 1997 at Delhi’s renowned Bikanervala Restaurant — my first classroom and stage. Three years there laid the foundation of my craft and a lifelong love for food. Recognising my passion, the Bikanervala family entrusted me with their new Dubai branch. For five enriching years, I honed my skills in a true cultural melting pot, serving and delighting people from across the globe. In 2006, a small newspaper ad led me to London, where I spent 14 years as a chef in one of the world’s greatest food capitals — refining techniques, blending traditions, and gathering flavours from East and West. By 2020, with over two decades of global experience, I returned home with a dream — and Jiya’s was born. In just five years, Jiya’s has grown into more than a business: it is my sweet symphony, where tradition meets innovation, and every dish is crafted to be savoured and shared.
